Information We Collect

We collect information necessary to provide our eye wellness monitoring services:

• Camera data for real-time eye tracking and analysis (processed locally only)
• Eye wellness metrics including blink rate, strain levels, and fatigue indicators
• Usage data such as session duration and feature usage
• Account information including email address and profile settings
• Device information including browser type and operating system

How We Use Your Information

Your data is used exclusively to:

• Provide real-time eye wellness monitoring and analysis
• Generate personalized insights and recommendations for your eye health
• Track your eye wellness trends over time
• Improve our eye-tracking algorithms and service quality (this never includes Google user data, see 'Google Calendar Data' below)
• Send you notifications and reminders about your eye wellness

Data Security

We implement industry-standard security measures to protect your data:

• All camera processing is done locally on your device no video or images are ever transmitted, uploaded, or stored on our servers
• Calendar integration data, when you enable it, is stored only on your device and is never transmitted to our servers
• Data transmission is encrypted using HTTPS and TLS protocols
• Secure authentication and access controls protect your account.
• Regular security audits and updates
• No sharing of personal data with third parties without consent, we do not share it with third parties except as needed to provide a feature you have enabled, for security, or to comply with law

Google Calendar Data

If you choose to connect Google Calendar, oLo requests read-only access to your calendar events (scope: calendar.events.readonly) and your basic Google profile (email address and name) to identify your account. oLo cannot create, edit or delete events in your Google Calendar.

• What we access: - Event title, description, start and end time, attendees, location and meeting link.
• How we use it: - To display your events on the oLo timeline, to remind you to rest your eyes 10 minutes before a meeting starts, and to pause wellness notifications while you are in a meeting.
• Where it is stored: - Only on your device, in a local database. Google Calendar data is never transmitted to oLo servers and is never shared with any third party.
• AI and machine learning: - oLo does not use Google user data to develop, improve or train any AI or machine learning model. oLo's eye tracking runs entirely on your device using on-device models and does not read calendar data. oLo does not send Google user data to any third-party AI service.
• Retention and deletion: - Calendar data is refreshed every 5 minutes while connected. It is deleted from your device when you disconnect Google Calendar from the Timeline page or uninstall oLo.
• Limited Use: - oLo's use and transfer to any other app of information received from Google APIs will adhere to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.

Your Rights

You have the right to:

• Access your personal data at any time through your account settings
• Download a copy of your data in a portable format
• Request deletion of your data permanently
• Opt-out of non-essential notifications and communications
• Control camera permissions and disable eye tracking at any time

Data Retention

• We retain your data only as long as necessary to provide our services and comply with legal obligations. You can request deletion of your data at any time through the settings page. Camera data is never stored - it exists only momentarily in device memory during processing.
• Google Calendar data is stored only on your device and is removed when you disconnect the calendar or uninstall the app.
